TOUR DESCRIPTION

Day 1: Lagodekhi – Sheki

(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Tour starts from Laqodekhi  a small town in Kakheti. Kakheti region of eastern Georgia. There is a border crossing there leading toAzerbaijansBalakanProvince. Lagodekhi Nature Reserve, established in 1911, is situated in this area. From the border we continue our trip to the town ofSheki. Dinner and

overnight in Sheki. 
 
Day 2: Sheki –Lahij

After breakfast we go to start for a nice day. The sightseeing tour of Sheki includes a visit to Caravanserai, Khan’s Palace and local market. Then we continue toBakuen route visiting the town ofLahij. Lahij one of the old town of Caucasus and situated in Ismayilli region.  Lahij- where you will see one of the ancient settlement inCaucasuswith the coppersmith and soviet carpet factory. At the same time you can see Babadag mountain (Second higher mountain in Azerbaijan-3639 m) view in Caucasussafari tours.Dinner and overnight in Lahij. 

 

Day 3: Lahij -Baku

After breakfast trip continue toBaku.Baku sightseeing program - we visit Gobustan ruins, Palace of the Shirvanshahs is the biggest monument of the Shirvan - Absheron branch of theAzerbaijanarchitecture, situated in the Inner City of Baku. The complex contains the main building of the palace, Divanhane, the burial - vaults, the shahs mosque with a minaret, Seyid Yahya Bakuvis mausoleum, a portal in the east - Murads gate, a reservoir and the remnants of the bath - house. After we see Maidens Tower and you can ask from your guide to tell you the story about this tower. 

 

Day 4Absheron

After breakfast  we will visit to Absheron peninsula.Tour starts from Mud Volcanos. You will also have a chance to visit quite a unique site where 300 of the planet's estimated 700 mud volcanoes sit Gobustan,Azerbaijanand the Caspian Sea. Many geologists as well as locals and international mud tourists trek to such places as the Firuz Crater, Gobustan, Salyan and end up happily covered in mud which is thought to have medicinal qualities. In 2001 one mud volcano15 kilometersfromBakumade world headlines when it suddenly started spewing flames15 metershigh and tours continue to Gobustan.

Gobustan is an open-air museum littered with Neolithic rock drawings. Just 65km south ofBaku. Gobustan has some 4000 inscriptions that go back 12,000 years (with some 2000 year old Latin graffiti to boot). Stone Age folks sporting loin cloths pose hunt and boogie down. Their dances are thought to have been accompanied by the melodious strains of the Gaval-Dashy (Tambourine Stone) - a rock that has a deep, resonating tone when struck.

After Gobustan we will drive to Fire tample (ATESGAH). Ateshgah Fire -WorshippersTempleThe uniqueAtesgahFireTempleis one ofAzerbaijan’s most remarkable sights. It stands on the site of a natural gas vent that was sacred to Zoroastrians for centuries, though this temple was actually built by 18th –

century Indian Shiva devotees. After tour we will come back to the hotel dinner and overnight in Baku. 


Day 5: Baku – Genje –Border

After your breakfasts is about 9:00 a.m. start the way to second largest city in Azerbaijan in Ganja. Arrival at 13:00 and check-in to Ganja Hotel. Rest/ independent lunch. After the lunch start tour in Ganja. Visiting bazaar in Ganja, Mosque, build in 1606 by the known scientists and architect Sheykh Baga-ud-din, Ganja Gates (X-XI c.), ruins of 17th centuries bath-house and Caravansaray,the Alexander Nevski church (now the puppet theatre!) and a 19th century orthodox church near the university, bottle house, a two-storey building decorated with about 50.000 glass bottles, and historic museum of Ganja. After finishin tour in Ganja arrange the independent dinner in one of local restaurants of this city we will go to Red bridge border (second border between Georgia–Azerbaijan).
